What factors affect the accuracy of load cells and how can they be improved

① What is the accuracy of a load cell?

The accuracy of a sensor refers to the difference between its output signal and the value to be measured, usually expressed as a percentage, and is called the precision indication error. Precision indication error is divided into quantitative, percentage and digital indication error. In the weighing sensor, the quantitative error refers to the error caused by hardware structure, material parameters, manufacturing process and other factors. Percentage error refers to the error of the ratio between the sensor output and the true value; Numerical error is the precision error generated by the calculation of exponential words.

② Factors affecting the accuracy of load cell:

1. Mechanical imbalance: During the operation of the sensor, mechanical imbalance is a common cause of reduced sensor accuracy. The causes of mechanical misalignment include physical deformation, structural corruption, and non-installation standards.

2. Signal processing error: too high or too low signal noise level will affect the output of the sensor. The causes of such errors include too small a design scale, loss of signal processing circuits or poor quality.

3. Environmental factors: the load cell is applied to different environmental conditions, and different environmental conditions will affect the performance of the load cell. Such as temperature change, working life, use environment, etc.

③ How can the accuracy of the load cell be improved?

1. Choose the right sensor: First of all, choose the right type of weighing sensor according to the actual application scenario, so as to obtain more accurate weight measurement results.

2. Carefully select the application environment: When installing and applying the weighing sensor, attention should be paid to the impact of various environmental factors such as ambient temperature and mechanical wear on the accuracy of the weighing sensor. Some norms for reasonable use should be followed, such as avoiding too high or too low temperature environments.

3. Instrument calibration: Proper calibration can effectively improve the accuracy of the load cell. Calibration ensures the response characteristics, sensitivity and stability of the sensor. Laboratory calibration is to provide accurate measurement results of load cell accuracy and improve the reliability of load cell calibration.

The precision of weighing sensor is an important parameter to measure the accuracy of its device. A series of measures such as enhancing the stability of the instrument, reducing the vibration of the equipment and improving the environmental condition can improve the accuracy of the load cell. Operations such as calibration can also ensure that the load cell continues to work accurately.
