Measurement principle of torque sensor

Torque sensors are used to detect the perception of torque on various rotating and non-rotating machine parts. Torque sensors convert physical changes in torque into electrical signals. It can be used to manufacture viscosity meter and electric (pneumatic, hydraulic) torque wrenches. It has the advantages of high precision, fast frequency response, good reliability and long service life.

The torque sensor installs two sets of gears with exactly the same number of teeth, shape and mounting Angle at both ends of the elastic shaft, and separately installs proximity sensors outside the gears. When the elastic shaft is rotating, the two groups of sensors can measure the two groups of pulse waves, and the difference of the phase before and after the two groups of pulse waves can be compared to calculate the torque received by the elastic bearing. The torque sensor maintains sufficient distance between the power equipment and the load, while the power equipment and the load are all relatively independent rotating power system. The sensor is installed between the power equipment and the load using the combined machine. The speed accuracy is high, the performance is stable, the service life is long, the signal-to-noise ratio is high, and the anti-interference ability is good.

Torque sensor two measurement principles:

1, torque measurement principle: dynamic torque sensor has an external power supply, through the inner ring transformer will detect the energy to the secondary pole, through the rectifier filter into high precision DC voltage, supply variable bridge work. When the torque changes, the strain bridge transmits the detected signal to the outside of the sensor through transformer coupling through amplification and pressure frequency conversion.

2, speed measurement principle: dynamic torque sensor has two speed measurement methods. One is the speed measurement of optical code dial. The velocity measurement of the second Principle Hall effect. In both methods, the sensor rotates 60 pulses per week and then converts the pulses to a frequency square wave output.
